Multimedia
Adding multimedia to websites can be very powerful and enhance the experience for many users so its important this content be accessible to all, from those hard of hearing to those who are unable to play audio on their device.
Audio only
For audio only recordings (ie. podcast), a transcript should be provided, this will provider the user with a written version of the audio.
Video with audio
A transcript will not be enough for videos that also have audio since nonverbal communication can also hold meaning. For these instances we want to provide both a transcript and captions. The captions should contain import sounds and description of visual content to give the user a better understanding.
